CHP STATION & SPORTS FACILITY UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Heat and hot water will be supplied to 503 flats, some sheltered, in 6 multi-story blocks, to a sports changing facility, and to the Council's beachfront complex comprising ballroom, leisure centre and ice-rink. The CHP plant is located in a new building which also accommodates the changing facilities. Currently 1MW gas powered generator with second to be installed. Plans in hand to install 2MW generator and convert to biomass.
